Looks like a 225hp version of the duratec crate motor. they make a 2.3 up to 280hp.

I found a company in UK selling a 225hp version for $14,286. Now just imagine how much engine could be built for way less than that using aftermarket parts instead of fancy cosworth built motor. Also I think the motors are MZR Mazda which I think was used in the NC.
